Partridge Jewellers is excited to welcome preeminent American jewellery brand David Yurman into its fold — the first time the brand will be available in New Zealand.
The New York-based brand is considered America’s foremost luxury jewellery and timepiece brand.
A timeless model of inspiration, innovation and consummate craftsmanship, the company was founded in New York City by David, a sculptor, and his wife Sybil, a painter, and built on a passion for art and design. When the couple began collaborating, their intention was to make beautifully designed objects to wear — a motivation that endures today.
Known for his inventiveness and sculptural nuances, Yurman’s famous designs include the immediately recognisable cable bracelets with the cable becoming an important motif for the brand, appearing throughout many of its collections and tying together a greater oeuvre for nearly 40 years.
Toeing the line between works of art and jewellery, David Yurman’s inventive spirit remains true to the brand’s aesthetic aspirations of today. Now helmed by David and Sybil’s son Evan, the brand has enlisted the star power of Scarlett Johansson and, more recently, actor Henry Golding as ambassadors.
