Ryan Yardley has dedicated the past 16 years to his passion
for motorsport. Inspired by his father and sister, he began karting in 2006 at
just eight years old. By his second year, he had already won the Christchurch
Enduro, Club Championship, and Annual Points Series.
Karting laid the foundation for Yardley’s driving skills and
technical knowledge, setting the stage for an impressive career. After eight
successful years, he transitioned to single-seaters in the New Zealand Formula
Ford Championship, where two strong seasons prepared him for the Toyota 86
Championship. He quickly made his mark, claiming the Rookie title in his debut
season before securing the overall championship the following year.
Next, Yardley stepped up to the Toyota Racing Series,
earning a podium at Taupo, finishing as the highest-placed driver in his team,
and being named the series’ Most Improved Driver. He then made his Australian
Formula 4 debut at the Melbourne Grand Prix round, securing a podium.
Yardley later joined Kiwi Motorsport in the U.S., competing
in Formula Regional, where he claimed multiple wins and podiums from 2020 to
2022. In 2023 and 2024, he raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup North America with
TOPP Racing, finishing seventh and second respectively- including a win at the
2024 United States Grand Prix.
Now in 2025, Yardley continues with TOPP Racing in Porsche
Carrera Cup North America, aiming to build on his momentum and deliver more
strong results in this highly competitive series.
