Brock Gilchrist is a rising talent in New Zealand motorsport, making a name for himself both nationally and internationally with his ability to get behind the wheel of a car and immediately be competing for wins and podiums.
He began karting at a young age, quickly showcasing a natural ability behind the wheel. His career began to progress when he made the step up to car racing with the Toyota 86 Championship, winning the ultra-competitive series in 2023.
Gilchrist would go on to be the inaugural recipient of the Giltrap Motorsport Junior Scholarship, an opportunity that saw him contest the 2023/2024 GTNZ Championship in a McLaren 570S GT4 car.
The young Aucklander dominated the series, winning the GT4 class championship in convincing fashion.
This performance would go a long way to earning Gilchrist the Team Porsche New Zealand Scholarship, putting him behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 991.2 GT3 Cup Car run by Earl Bamber Motorsport for the 2024 Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge Australia.
It has been a strong maiden international season for Gilchrist, with two wins and seven podiums under his belt, and a comfortable second in the championship standings.
