Geely Names New Zealand Brand Manager

Jordan Haines will lead Geely New Zealand, the country's newest automotive brand, which will launch in April. Geely Auto, the world's fastest-growing car maker, announced a strategic partnership with Giltrap Group in November 2024.

Haines brings 13 years of experience in the automotive industry and has been with Giltrap Group since 2018, most recently as Volkswagen New Zealand National Sales Manager.

"I am excited at the opportunity to launch Geely into our market as it is a transformative brand with innovation and sustainability at its forefront. Geely will bring world-class engineering at an affordable price that is within the reach of all New Zealanders," says Haines

Geely Auto, the world's fastest-growing car maker, announced a strategic partnership with Giltrap Group in November 2024. Geely Auto describes the alliance with the New Zealand-owned distributor and retailer as a key achievement in Geely's global expansion, further solidifying its presence in the Oceanian market and pivotal to Geely's sustained growth and reputation.

The Geely EX5, a mid-sized electric vehicle, will be the first model to enter the New Zealand market. This will be followed by a complete range of power trains, including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, range-extended and petrol-powered vehicles.

An extensive network covering showrooms throughout New Zealand will be opening throughout 2025, supporting the long-term commitment of both Geely and Giltrap Group.
