Chris Amon Statue - Bulls, New Zealand. A 2.4-metre bronze statue of Kiwi motorsport legend Chris Amon was unveiled in Bulls, marking the culmination of a seven-year project led by the Bulls & District Historical Society. The ceremony drew hundreds of attendees, including family, friends, and a lineup of Ferraris, celebrating Amon’s legacy as one of New Zealand’s pioneering Formula 1 drivers and his 1966 Le Mans victory with Bruce McLaren. Designed by Matt Gauldie and sculpted by Roy and Eva Harkness, the statue stands outside the old library on High Street.

Formula 1 - Austrian GP - Liam Lawson P6. After a challenging start to his full-time Formula One career, Liam Lawson delivered a breakthrough performance with a career-best sixth-place finish at the Austrian Grand Prix. In a race marked by early chaos, including a crash that eliminated Max Verstappen, Lawson narrowly avoided disaster and capitalised on a bold one-stop strategy, expertly defending against Fernando Alonso for much of the race. He was the only Red Bull-affiliated driver to score points, earning praise from his Racing Bulls team for a “masterclass” drive. The result earned Lawson eight championship points, moving him to 15th in the standings and helping Racing Bulls climb to sixth in the constructors’ championship.

NASCAR - Atlanta - Shane van Gisbergen P24. Shane van Gisbergen had pace at Atlanta during the race, in car #88 for Trackhouse, after qualifying 35th. SVG advanced up the ladder with strong results in the first two stages (Stage 1 - P8, Stage 2 - P7). Unfortunately, at the start of the third stage, SVG got hit and went spinning onto the grass. Regaining control of the car and having the repairs made, he rejoined the race to finish in 24th place.

Lamborghini Super Trofeo Asia - Fuji - Brendon Leitch P3 + P1. Successful weekend at Fuji for Brendon Leitch in Super Trofeo Asia. Driving alongside JJ Song in the #89 Lamborghini, the pair put the car on Pole during qualifying on Saturday. Before getting on the podium with a P3 in class (PRO/AM) for Race 1, then a P1 in class and P2 overall in Race 2 on Sunday.
