The New Porsche 911 Carrera S

Traditionally bridging the gap between the standard Carrera and the performance-focused Carrera GTS, the newly unveiled upgrades for the upcoming 992.2 Carrera S bring it closer to the GTS than ever before.

Inheriting its performance design from the 992.1 911 Turbo, the new Carrera S debuts with 353 kW and 530 Nm of torque. This marks a substantial increase of 22 kW over its predecessor, achieved through the introduction of new turbochargers and extensively optimized charge-air cooling for the iconic 3.0-litre flat-six engine. These upgrades enable the Carrera S to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a blistering 3.3 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 308 km/h.

Another significant enhancement for the "middle child" of the 911 family is the braking system, directly carried over from the GTS. The setup includes large 408 mm discs at the front and 380 mm at the rear. For those looking to push their new 911 on the track, Porsche offers optional carbon-ceramic brakes.

The suspension and steering systems have also undergone further optimization, resulting in improved agility and stability at high speeds.

The new 911 Carrera S is now available to order from Giltrap Porsche as a Coupé or Cabriolet in rear-wheel drive. First arrivals are expected early in the third quarter of 2025. Pricing in New Zealand starts at $321,900 for the Coupé, while the Cabriolet begins at $336,900.
