Over the course of the 250 laps, SVG would find his way moving up and down the pack as pit-stop strategies and cautions played out.
Kaulig racing gambled SVG’s tyre strategy on a late caution that never came, with his tyre disadvantage resulting in lost positions, ultimately crossing the line in P15.
Formula E
It was a tough weekend all around for Jaguar TCS Racing and it’s drivers, Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans.
In qualifying, a decent result for Cassidy was taken away after the team was found guilty of a technical infringement, leaving him to start in P19. Evans lined up P9 on the grid after receiving a penalty for impeding in qualifying.
Cassidy ended up gaining 10 places in the race, coming home in ninth and gaining Jaguar their only points for the weekend. Evans’ managed to climb into the top-10 during the race, however a lock-up while attempting an overtake led to contact and front-wing damage, a pit-stop for a new nose and an eventual P14 finish.
