The factory celebrating the completion of the 20,000th Urus just four years after the launch of the world’s first Super SUV in 2018. Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelmann says, “The Urus is a perfect complement to our super sports model ranges, providing a luxurious and high-performance daily drive for those who identify with our authentic Italian brand.”

Following a 2018 world tour launch, that covered 114 cities in the space of four months, 70% of the initial orders came from newcomers to the Lamborghini family. The manufacturer estimates Urus customers have driven over 300 million kilometres globally.

The success of Urus, has seen the workforce at the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory grow by 500, while the factory itself has doubled in size to 160,000 square metres.

The records don’t end with production numbers. Lake Baikal in Russia saw the Urus break a high-speed record on the ice, reaching a top speed of 298 km/h and an average speed from a standing start of 114 km/h across the 1000-meter distance; driven by 18-time record-holder Andrey Leontyev, as a part of the Days of Speed in March 2021. 

The Urus features a4.0 litre twin-turbo V8 engine, delivering 650 HP (478 kW) at 6000 rpm (max. 6800 rpm), and torque of 850 Nm at 2250 rpm. The Italian super-SUV alsoboasts one of the highest specific power ratings in its class, as well as the best weight-to-power ratio of 3.38 kg/HP.Combining four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering, the Urus achieves acceleration of 0-100 km in 3.6 seconds (0-200 km/h in 12.8 seconds) and a maximum speed of 305 km/h. 

 

The six available drive modes, mean drivers can, “Unlock any road.” Signatures like Strada, Sport and Corsa are met by the off-road modes of Sand and Snow.
