Camilla and Marc Liberté collection

With sheer silhouettes and edgy lines, Liberté is an ode to women.

With sheer silhouettes and edgy lines, Liberté is an ode to women. Inspired by Camilla Freeman-Topper’s love of old cars, The Cotton Club Era (1925 - 1940) and the glamour of beach pyjama in the 1930’s, the Camilla and Marc Liberté collection is a celebration of progress.

An energy of freedom, a walking uninhibited, a time of experimentation and a claiming back

of a woman’s right to be and dress as she pleased; the overarching theme of the collection captures the sentiment of this moment in history, a pioneering time for women - their fashion and freedom.

“The glamour and social progress of the 50’s has always been a remarkably interesting time to me. The unbridled confidence of the women, the fiercely liberating spirit of ‘we can do anything’. I wanted to create a collection that encapsulated the beauty and glamour of what it means to be a woman today and celebrate the significance of how far we have come; as mothers, daughters, female bosses, creatives, politicians, teachers, social workers – women are phenomenal, we are all these things and more.

“This collection is an ode to women.” Says Creative Director Camilla Freeman-Topper

For Camilla and Marc Liberté, sharp, exaggerated, and sheer silhouettes punctuate an ultimately elevated, sophisticated and entirely sexy collection.

Referencing the sophistication of 1920’s menswear tailoring; double breasted suits, vests, overcoats, and longline tailored trousers create a masculine layer to the collection which is then counter-balanced by the feminine glamour of the time; elongated gowns, sheer knitwear and exposed cut-outs to highlight the feminine form in all its glory.

Chocolate velvet print reflects opulence and a sense of grandeur for times well spent. Floor length

sleeveless gowns in satin create drama and proportion. Luxury hardware and leather ready-to-wear pieces nod to the artisanship of vintage luxury motor vehicles, in a palette of in black, tan, and metal.

Hero tailoring pieces include a sharp blazer and pant set in cream, which features wide lapels

and honed shoulders, with trousers elongated to create a proportion of height and strength.

Pointed leather flats are paired with an oversized tote bag, further driving home the feeling of empowering within the context of comfort and glamour. True to the Camilla and Marc aesthetic, luxury trench coats are styled over textured knits and tailored trousers. Chocolate, tan, cream emanate a warm feeling, while pops of yellow and lilac speak to the energy and optimism of the collection.
