‘Say It With Flowers’
Designers Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett say the name of their growing label is an homage to the list of 27 people who helped get their label off the ground. Proudly made in New Zealand since its inception, twenty-seven names’ values lie in a commitment to sustainability, ethical production, and supporting local industry.
Rachel Easting and Anjali Burnett met at primary school. After studying art and fashion respectively the pair began working on small scale projects before launching their brand ‘twenty-seven names’.
Of their latest collection – Say It With Flowers – the duo are heartfelt in their appreciation for and celebration of “flowers, puffs, frills and bows”.
“We’ve been riding this wave since 2006, and the only constant is how lovely it feels to know that we’ve made something that makes someone feel good. We’re just trying to be here for a good time, and a long time. We’re making mum jokes, cat puns and always pushing a navy agenda.
“We’re celebrating getting dressed for ourselves and each other; we’re saying it with flowers.”
