After a podium finish at the last round in Saudi Arabia, Jaguar Racing’s driver line-up of Mitch Evans and Sam Bird are looking forward to the Italian round, where both have won races in previous seasons. Round three of the 2021 season commences at 2.00am NZ time on Sunday, April 11, with round four following at 11.00pm NZ time, Sunday, April 11.

Jaguar Racing travel to Rome for the next two rounds of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship competing on the city streets of the Italian capital on Saturday 10 April and Sunday 11 April (Central European Time).

This is the first time Jaguar Racing has returned to Rome since April 2019 where the team celebrated its first Formula E win with Mitch Evans and Jaguar’s first motorsport victory since 1991. The Rome circuit, based in the EUR district, is also a happy hunting ground for Sam Bird who won there in 2018.

Currently sitting top of the teams’ championship after the double-header in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia, Jaguar Racing are determined to continue the point scoring and podium streak in Rome and sustain the strong position in the Championship.

“We made a very positive start to the 2021 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and are pleased to be sitting top of the team championship after two excellent performances from Mitch and Sam in Saudi Arabia,” says Team Director, Jaguar Racing, James Barclay.

“Rome will be a challenge with both drivers in Group 1 qualifying, so we are not resting on our laurels. The team have been putting in many hours and long days to ensure we put ourselves in the best position possible heading to Rome. After celebrating our first Formula E victory at the Rome E-Prix in 2019, it holds a special place in the team’s heart, and we will be certainly looking to keep this positive momentum.”

Kiwi racer Mitch Evans is equally excited to be back in Rome – a round of the championship which has borne fruit for 26-year-old in seasons past.

“The Rome E-Prix brings back very special memories for everyone at Jaguar Racing – it was my first with the team in Formula E and that maiden winning feeling will remain with me forever. As we head to Rome, we need to build on the momentum we achieved in Saudi Arabia and hopefully all the hard work will secure us more on-track success.”

Round three of the 2021 season commences at 2.00am on Sunday, April 11 (NZ time), with round four following at 11.00pm, Sunday, April 11 (NZ time).
