2025 Team Porsche New Zealand driver line up announced

At the start of the 2025 motorsport season, Team Porsche New Zealand (TPNZ) is gearing up to compete with Earl Bamber Motorsport (EBM) in three Porsche single-make series again this year, across both Australia and Asia.

Marco Giltrap to continue his Carrera Cup Australia Pursuit

Team Porsche New Zealand has announced Marco Giltrap will compete in his second season in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia 2025. After winning the Porsche Australia Sprint Challenge championship in 2023, Marco debuted in the series in 2024, which offered the opportunity to learn the 992 and the Australian circuits.

“I’m super excited to be teaming up with Team Porsche New Zealand again for another season in Carrera Cup Australia. We have so much more knowledge and experience this time around, I feel we can push for some really good results!” – Marco Giltrap

Carrera Cup Asia confirmed for second season with Brock Gilchrist

After the successful introduction to the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last year, the team has announced it’s return for a second season, with 2024 Sprint Challenge Australia driver Brock Gilchrist graduating into his first full season in the premier Porsche racing series in Asia. After placing 2nd overall in the 2024 Sprint Challenge Australia, Brock was offered a second year in the scholarship program and has chosen to pursue the Asia Carrera Cup series.

TPNZ originally launched in the Asian series in 2019. After a few years focusing on the Australian series, the team re-debuted in Asia for the 2024 Carrera Cup season with a dealership team. The seat was shared between scholarship driver Zac Stichbury and Marco Giltrap. In addition, Brock Gilchrist made his 992 debut in the series at the Shanghai round and had successful results, placing 2nd overall for the weekend.

“I’m thrilled to be racing in the Carrera Cup Asia. Competing in the final round last year really opened my eyes to the incredible opportunities across Asia. When I was offered the seat to race with TPNZ and EBM in Asia, I knew it was exactly where I wanted to be. To top it off, having the chance to race as a support category for the Chinese and Singapore Grand Prix makes this an even more amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get started and give it my all!” – Brock Gilchrist

Final 2025 driver line up now confirmed

Brock and Marco join the team’s newest scholarship recipient, Tom Bewley, already announced to debut in the Sprint Challenge Australia series this year. Tom started his career in karting and has steadily risen through the ranks in the Kiwi motorsport scene.

Fresh off winning the New Zealand Toyota 86 Championship in 2024, Tom gained experience in the 991 GT3 Cup car in the New Zealand GT NZ Championship over the summer and is set to make his mark on the Porsche Sprint Challenge Australia 2025 field.

First race kicks off this weekend

The 2025 calendar kicks off with the Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia, with Marco Giltrap competing under the lights in the opening round at Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend, followed by the highly anticipated Melbourne Grand Prix in March.

The first round of Carrera Cup Asia kicks off at the Shanghai Grand Prix, 21-23 March, and the Sprint Challenge Australia kicks off at Phillip Island, 4-6 April.
