Kia officially add EV3 to model line-up

May 24, 2024

Kia has unveiled the EV3, a compact electric SUV that aims to redefine its segment with innovative technology and ambitious design.

Drawing inspiration from Kia’s flagship EV9 SUV, the EV3 offers a bold, progressive exterior paired with a practical, spacious interior designed for maximum comfort and functionality.

The EV3 boasts an industry-leading driving range of up to 600km (WLPT), making it the best in its class. The advanced electric powertrain, built on Kia’s Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), ensures optimal performance and efficiency. The EV3 supports ultra-fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes.

The EV3 features the Kia AI Assistant, which uses generative AI to provide natural, intuitive interactions. Premium Streaming and in-car gaming through LG’s Automotive Content Platform ensure entertainment on the go, while Over-the-Air updates keep the vehicle’s software up to date.

Safety and driving assistance are a key focus in the EV3. Advanced Driving Assistance Systems (ADAS) include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Reverse Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist.

Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy is easy to see in the EV3’s exterior. The front features vertical headlamps and the brand’s latest Star Map signature lighting concept, creating a confident and dynamic look. The sleek roofline and muscular appearance emphasize a strong presence, while the rear design integrates a futuristic tailgate with a wide, technical appearance.

Inside, the EV3 offers a spacious cabin that comfortably seats five. The interior design emphasizes relaxation and practicality, with features like multi-adjustable ambient lighting, ultra-comfortable seats, and a sliding table for added convenience. The EV3 provides ample storage space, including a 25-liter frunk and a 460-liter rear load capacity, the largest in its class.

Kia’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in the EV3’s use of recycled materials. The interior incorporates recycled fabrics and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in various components, promoting eco-friendliness without compromising on quality or comfort.

The Kia EV3 is expected to arrive at Giltrap Kia later this year.
