The new-look Seltos will initially be available in two specification levels: LX and LX+, with further trim options arriving in the months ahead. Both new models are powered by a 110kW 2.0-litre petrol engine.

The new 2023 Kia Seltos is on sale now, with the LX is available from $32,990 plus on-road costs, while the LX+ is available from $35,990 plus on-road costs. Both models feature a five-star ANCAP safety rating.

Kia kicks off the New Year with an all new refreshed Seltos having been added to the brand’s extensive New Zealand roster.

The new model introduces a reimagined exterior, complemented with enhancements to the cabin environment as well as technology related developments – all the while maintaining a highly entry price.

“In the three years since launch, more than 7,000 new Seltos have found homes around the country,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald. “It has proven to be a consistent performer in the sales charts and one of the most popular small-to-medium sized SUV models over recent years.

“The design of the new refreshed 2023 model, together with an attractive price point as well as its comprehensive warranty and roadside assistance package, mean it’s a very compelling proposition for new car buyers who want to live big but drive a medium size vehicle.”

The new-look Seltos will initially be available in two specification levels: LX and LX+, with further trim options arriving in the months ahead.

Updates compared to the previous LX model include the cleverly restyled front end and rear garnish, new taillights, the addition of privacy glass, front parking sensors and Lane Follow Assist (LFA).

The LFA system detects the lane the vehicle is in and informs the driver with a visual cue and a warning sound when the vehicle begins to drift outside of its lane, enabling the driver to correct the direction of travel.

Rounding out the changes are Intelligent and manual Speed Limit Assist, Rear-view Monitor with Switch as well as a new 4.2-inch TFT LCD Supervision Cluster.

When considering the LX+, additional enhancements over and above the previous model include those found on LX as well as new 17-inch alloy wheels, Single Zone Climate Control, three additional USB-C charging ports, a full size spare wheel, solar windshield and front door glass.

Power in the LX and LX+ is provided by a 2.0-litre petrol engine which develops a steady 110kW and fuel efficiency of 7.7-litres/100km.

To enhance the all-round driving experience, the Seltos has been the beneficiary of an extensive ride and handling tuning programme undertaken in Australasia over thousands of kilometres across urban and country roads. This delivers exceptional handling with comfort and assured roadholding for local conditions.

The infotainment system in both LX and LX+ consists of an 8-inch colour LCD touchscreen with six speaker audio system, radio & MP3 compatible audio player plus Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.

The updated Kia Seltos will be available in seven different exterior colours, comes standard with six airbags and has an ANCAP five-star safety rating.
