New Zealand pricing for the ST-L e-POWER with e-4ORCE is $62,990 plus on-road costs, while the X-Trail Ti-L e-POWER with e-4ORCE is priced at $66,990 plus on-road costs.

Nissan says that unlike conventional hybrid systems, e-Power delivers an EV-like drive experience all the time, without needing to plug in, with the e-4orce twin-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering reassuring traction and confident acceleration in all conditions.

Nissan’s most technologically advanced SUV has been confirmed for New Zealand, with deliveries commencing during summer 2022-23.

Nissan says the new Nissan X-Trail e-Power with e-4orce delivers an EV-like drive experience without needing to plug in.

The e-Power with e-4orce AWD models will join the all-new X-Trail family in New Zealand in early 2023, completing a comprehensive new-look SUV lineup for the Japanese manufacturer.

Designed to act as flagship models in the X-Trail range, the e-Power with e-4orce powertrain is available on the generously equipped X-Trail ST-L and Ti-L trim levels.

The electrified X-Trail range begins with the ST-L e-Power with e-4orce ($62,990 plus on-road costs), followed by the top-of-the-range X-Trail Ti-L e-Power with e-4orce ($66,990 plus on-road costs). Both are offered with e-4orce AWD and in five-seat configurations.

The X-Trail ST-L e-Power with e-4orce also features Nissan’s ProPilot with Lane Keep Assist system, privacy glass, fog lights, a digital Around-View monitor, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, sliding rear seats, front parking sensors, synthetic leather trim, practical 40:20:40 split rear seats and 18-inch alloy wheels complete the ST-L offering.

The flagship model in the X-Trail range, the Ti-L e-Power with e-4orce furthers the premium offering with 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, LED turn signals, a Smart Rear View Mirror, tri-zone climate control, Adaptive Driving Beam, Bose 10-speaker sound system, full Nappa leather seating with memory seat function, rear sunshades, hands-free rear tailgate, heated rear outboard seats, remote engine start.

Nissan says the technology offering is also significant, with a 12.3-inch, navigation-equipped touchscreen, a 10.8-inch Head-Up Display, wireless phone charging and wireless Apple CarPlay, and a 12.3-inch TFT digital driver display.

Unlike conventional hybrid systems, Nissan’s innovative e-Power technology delivers a constant EV-like drive experience thanks to the driven wheels being powered only by the electric motors, so response is always instant, linear and smooth.

The X-Trail's e-Power with e-4orce system is comprised of a high-output 1.8kWh battery integrated with a variable compression ratio petrol engine, power generator, inverter and twin electric motors (150kW front axle, 100kW rear axle with a combined system output of 157kW). This powertrain means that power to the wheels comes only from the electric motors, which results in instant, linear response to the accelerator.

The power for the electric motors and battery is generated by a highly advanced variable compression turbocharged petrol engine which runs quietly in the background to feed the battery, which then supplies power to the electric motors via an inverter.

The e-4orce twin-motor all-wheel drive system delivers reassuring traction and confident acceleration in all conditions thanks to what Nissan describes as its most advanced all-wheel-control technology yet.
