Crafting the extraordinary

Drawing inspiration from historical Fabergé pieces, the collection of Fabergé egg shaped, hoop and stud earrings, bracelets, gemstone statement cuffs and pendants perfectly channel 1800’s Romanov splendour.

Thanks to Partridge Jewellers, these exquisite items from the Fabergé collection can be viewed in New Zealand.

In 1882 Peter Carl Fabergé took over his father’s very ordinary jewellery business but, together with his brother Agathon, he quickly transformed it into an international phenomenon.

Fabergé became well known as a design-led artist-jeweller with a penchant for colour through both stones and reviving the lost art of enamelling.

Fabergé added objets deluxe to their repertoire, including objets de fantaisie such as the famous Imperial Easter Eggs; now regarded as pinnacles of the goldsmiths’ art and treasured in some of the world’s leading museums and private collections to this day.

That dedication to creation of the finest standard is a constant in Fabergé’s modern line of jewellery, available now through Partridge Jewellers.

Perhaps the most playful interpretation is through delicate pendants that translate the iconic egg shape with contemporary use of diamond, gold, enamel, and gemstones. A unique selection of these fine jewellery pendants open to reveal a miniature surprise inside.

The collection also consists of stunning examples of diamond, ruby, sapphire, and emerald earrings, set in 18k yellow, white, or rose gold. Meanwhile, the series of bracelets also subtly echo Fabergé’s legacy by use of unique gullioché enamelling, Fabergé egg shaped designs, diamonds, and brightly coloured gemstones.
