Corvette order book officially open
General Motors Special Vehicles has announced that orders for the next generation of the iconic American sports car are now open.

The full C8 Corvette price list has also been revealed, with the addition of recommended retail pricing for the halo Carbon Edition coupe.
Available in an impressive five iterations, pricing for the new C8 Corvette – the first factory-built right-hand drive example available in New Zealand – starts at $154,990 (plus ORCs).
General Motors Special Vehicles (GMSV) has confirmed the final step in the C8 Corvette ordering process, announcing the recommended retail price for the sought-after Carbon Edition, while at the same time advising orders for the iconic mid-engine sports car are now officially open.
“The long wait is over, the books are open, and our dealers are ready to place orders,” says Director of GMSV, Joanne Stogiannis.
“Excitement and anticipation have been building since the reveal of the C8 right-hand drive programme almost two years ago. The build-up to this point will be sure to reach a real crescendo with release of the pricing and specification of the Carbon Edition.”
The Carbon Edition is exclusive to Australia and New Zealand and celebrates the long-awaited arrival of Corvette ‘Down Under’. Only one of the limited production vehicles will be allocated to each GMSV dealer.
The Carbon Edition – a 3LT available only as a coupe – comes equipped with an option package handpicked by GMSV consisting of a carbon fibre interior package with carbon fibre inserts on the dash and door panels, a Trident wheel with machined face in spectra grey, colour coded brake calipres, a carbon fibre roof, an engine appearance lighting package with carbon fibre closeout panels, and a unique Carbon Edition build plate.
The range-topping Carbon Edition has a recommended retail price of $197,990 (plus ORCs).
Recommended retail pricing for the C8 Corvette range includes GST and premium paint. Prices start at $154,990 (plus ORCs) for the 2LT coupe or $169,990 (plus ORCs) for the 2LT convertible. The 3LT versions retail for $169,990 (plus ORCs) and $184,990 (plus ORCs) for the coupe and convertible respectively.
