SEAT launches innovative SEAT Subscribe service

SEAT has launched a new first-of-its-kind car subscription service for New Zealanders.

The SEAT Subscribe offer is designed to let Kiwis sample models from the Spanish brand’s growing New Zealand range for a weekend, week, or longer periods at a time

Starting at $99 for 72 hours, SEAT Subscribe gives customers access to models from the entire SEAT range, allowing for tailormade driving experiences based on which car suits their needs best.

As dealerships reopen around New Zealand, Spanish vehicle manufacturer SEAT has launched New Zealand’s first new car subscription service.

The service looks to expand the European marque’s range offering to the local market by giving New Zealand drivers a safe, premium choice when looking to utilise a vehicle to explore further afield for a weekend, a week or even longer.

“SEAT Subscribe offers the perfect drive for every occasion,” says James Yates, General Manager of SEAT New Zealand.

“Whether you want a 4x4 for a week on the slopes or a family holiday, a car for a long-term business contract, or simply a car to head out of town in, we have a vehicle ‘Created in Barcelona’ available for you”.

The online booking service offers a selection of new vehicles, starting at a competitive rate of $99 for 72 hours, which, says James, is perfect for a weekend away.

With insurance covered and minimal excess, SEAT Subscribe has been billed as a new affordable option for Kiwis who aren’t ready to commit to buying a car but are still looking for a personalised travel experience.

SEAT Subscribe’s level of flexibility and personalisation begins as soon as the customer collects their chosen vehicle, with the option of starting the journey from the SEAT Store on Great South Road, Newmarket, or via a tailored concierge service if they’re within the 20km radius of the SEAT Store, which is available for a small fee.

Overseas markets have adopted vehicle subscription services, with providers such as BMW, Cadillac and Volvo offering similar programmes in countries such as the United States and the UK.

The SEAT offering extends to models such as the Ibiza, Arona, Leon, Ateca and Tarraco, covering a variety of passenger car options, from compact hatchbacks and crossover SUVs to seven-seat 4WDs.

James is thrilled to be bringing a premium subscription service to Kiwis who want flexibility.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how the New Zealand market will embrace something quite new to them. I think we’re tapping into the modern Kiwi customer who wants to craft their own experience, or simply try before they buy,” says James.
