Leadfoot Festival: 23-25 March, 2012

This year marks the first public Leadfoot Festival and it is an event worth attending. Last year’s Leadfoot Festival celebrated the 60^th birthday of Rod Millen whose career involves a highly successful list of credentials in international Rally events. His extensive global experiences throughout his motorsport career have served as the inspiration for creating the Leadfoot Festival.

After the remarkable success of last year’s private festival, careful considering on Rod and his family’s part led them to make the decision to recur the Leadfoot Festival as a public event. This decision was made as they believe they can ensure a quality and successful weekend event for all guests and use it as a support to Hahei, a town which they love dearly.

The Leadfoot Festival displays a celebration of quality machinery throughout various eras, offering a comprehensive motorsport experience. Rod personally invites championship racers along with their distinguished vehicles, ensuring the high calibre of this event.  Ticket purchasers are given an incredible opportunity to visit Millen’s private estate grounds, including a long, winding driveway throughout the property, purposely designed to be a perfect hill climb. The ambience is heightened by celebrated static vintage cars and bikes lining the lush estate.

Certainly a fantastic weekend to spend appreciating motorsport, both the drivers and their vehicles, whilst also having the ability to partake in a great drive through Millen’s estate grounds, the Leadfoot Festival is an opportunity not to be missed.
